Jon Saunders:
Hi, I just wanted to say that your Radio 4 shows on Kenneth Williams were absolutely brilliant listening.
I have just started reading his autobiography because of the interest that sparked from your shows. They were very interesting and gave me a brief insight into his life, which I am now keen to know more. Im looking forward to the publication of your book later this year. Cheers, Jon.

A bit geeky I know, but do you per chance have an MP3 of your old Radio 1 chart theme from 2003-2004?
Would love to get my hands on a copy if you do mate, just for my own personal collection. Promise it won't go any further! Hope you can help. I've tried Wise Buddah but they haven't replied yet.

I listened to The Pain of Laughter on Radio 4 and was really moved by it.
I heard you managed to take pics of Kenneth Williams's flat before it was demolished; I just want to know if you have published them in any way. I am totally fascinated by Williams's life, don't want to sound too anoraky but having read the diaries it does intrigue me totally. Dave.

John Sugar in Richmond:
What have been your best and worst moments in work?
John Peel once said that whenever he did an excellent show he’d come off air and say, “Did you hear the show tonight? It was the best I’ve ever done!” Only to be told, “Really? It sounded like all the rest to me.” Alternatively he’d come off air and say, “Did you hear the show tonight? It was the worst I’ve ever done!” And the reply would be, “Really? It sounded like all the rest to me.”
Presenters are so insecure about their performances even if the audience don’t register if it’s a good or bad show. So for me the best moment would always happen when I do a great show, and likewise the worst moment will always be when I do a cack one. ”
